BrainSprout is a classroom engagement tool for K-5 teachers, operated by BrainSprout (brainsproutedu.com). If you have questions about this policy, contact us at .
When you create an account and use BrainSprout, we collect:
- Your email address and password (for account login)
- Your class name
- Student first names and grade levels that you enter
- Star counts, mood check-ins, sensory logs, and teacher notes you record
- Your daily schedule items
- Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never see your card details)
We use your data solely to:
- Provide and improve the BrainSprout service
- Save your classroom data between sessions
- Process your subscription payment
- Send you account-related emails (password reset, subscription updates)
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
BrainSprout stores only first names and grade levels for students — no surnames, photos, addresses, or identifying information. Student data is entered by and accessible only to the teacher who created the account. We do not use student data for any purpose other than displaying it within your account.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which uses industry-standard encryption. All connections to BrainSprout are encrypted via HTTPS. Payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment provider.
If you are located in the European Union or Ireland, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction — request we correct inaccurate data
- Deletion — request we delete your account and all associated data
- Portability — request your data in a portable format
- Object — object to how we process your data

BrainSprout uses browser localStorage to remember your preferences (such as your language setting and schedule). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription and close your account, we will delete your data within 30 days upon request.
BrainSprout uses the following third-party services:
- Supabase — database and authentication (supabase.com/privacy)
- Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
- EmailJS — contact form emails (emailjs.com/legal/privacy-policy)
- Netlify — website hosting (netlify.com/privacy)
BrainSprout accounts are for teachers only — not for students. Students do not create accounts or log into BrainSprout. Only first names and grades are stored for students, entered by their teacher.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the site. Continued use of BrainSprout after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
